Note: On the C&S, this brake system was used on the truss rod cars
with archbar trucks, built for and by the C&S (i.e. gons, box cars, stock
cars, cabooses).
A similar system was used on most F&CC box cars. These were
subsequently sold to other railroads. In many cases, the brake
system was maintained (i.e. SP NG, Montana Southern, Pacific Coast RR,
Magma and N-C-O) |
